Chengdu Jingtum Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us”) understands the importance of your personal information. We strictly comply with the Personal Information Protection Law, Cybersecurity Law, and Data Security Law of the People’s Republic of China, as well as other applicable laws and regulations. Please read this policy carefully before using Yiliao (the “Service”).
When you register, we collect your phone number or email address (used for identity verification, password recovery, and security alerts), a self-chosen display name, and a login password (stored as a one-way hash; we cannot recover plaintext). If you choose third-party sign-in (e.g., WeChat, Apple ID), we receive only the limited fields the platform exposes (display name, avatar, unique ID) to create your Yiliao account.
The text, images, voice, video, and files you send in Yiliao, as well as your contact list and group memberships, are uploaded in encrypted form to our servers as a relay. By default, messages are deleted from our servers after delivery and sync; group files are retained for 30 days for collaboration.
For service stability and account security, we collect device model, OS version, IP address, login time, and crash logs. This information is not linked to your specific identity and is used solely for performance optimization and troubleshooting.
Yiliao requests the following system permissions when you use specific features: photos (to send images), camera (to capture and send), microphone (voice / video calls), location (to send location messages), contacts (to add friends), notifications (push). You may decline these permissions; this will not affect core functionality, only the corresponding feature.
The mobile Yiliao app does not use cookies. We do use local storage (SharedPreferences / NSUserDefaults / IndexedDB) to cache login state, user preferences, and recent conversations. You can clear this data within app settings.
We do not share your personal information with third parties, except in the following cases:
We do not publicly disclose your personal information unless required by law.
You have the following rights, exercisable via app settings (Me → Settings → Account & Security) or by contacting us:
Yiliao is intended for users 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, please use Yiliao only with the guidance and consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; if we discover such collection, we will delete it promptly.
We may revise this policy as laws or our business evolve. Material changes will be announced via in-app notice or version-update notes. Continued use after the new version takes effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, please stop using the Service and delete your account.
